New translate function for the SQL editor

We introduced the Translate button in our SQL editor. You can now turn on Translate to see the values your test configuration parameters generate during test runs as you draft your SQL queries.

New test case parameter, test case parameter and Tosca XScan setting

We introduced the ImproveTableCellTextRecognition test case parameter and module parameter to allowTosca Cloud to read table cell text according to the latest Microsoft UI Automation framework.

Additionally, we added the Improve Table Cell Text Recognition setting in Tosca XScan so you can choose if Tosca XScan creates new modules with the new parameter enabled.

Custom Launcher installation paths

We've enhanced Launcher to support custom installation paths. Now you can install Launcher to any folder you need.

API connections

You can now centrally define API connections, including authentication, encryption, and proxy settings, and then use those connections across your API tests. This speeds up test design and cuts down on maintenance.

Plus, if you upload test cases from Tosca on-prem that reference connections, Tosca Cloud automatically creates and maps them. You can't edit non-HTTP connection types in the UI yet, but the test cases will still run.

SQL editor for Tosca Cloud

Our SQL editor makes it easy to draft and test SQL queries for your database and data integrity tests in Tosca Cloud.

Data Integrity connections improvement

We've added a Test Connection button in our Data Integrity connection set-up page, to help you ensure that your connection works without having to run a test case.

New test data modules

We expanded our test data tools with these new modules:

  • The new Test data - Create and provide new item module helps you make test data creation part of the test case instead of a separate, manual task. Use it to create a new row of data in a data set of your choice.

  • The new Test data - Export items module makes it easy to share test data with the team or use it outside of Tosca Cloud. Export your data sets as CSV, Excel, or JSON files whenever you need them.

  • The new Test data - Delete item module helps you make data cleanup part of the test case instead of a separate, manual task. Use it to delete a particular row of data.

  • The new Test data - Move row module helps you make data updates part of the test case instead of a separate, manual task. Use it to move a particular row of data to a different data set.

Run JavaScript modules on active browser tabs

The new UseActiveTab value for the Execute JavaScript and Verify JavaScript Result modules lets you execute JavaScript calls on a webpage that's already open during test runs.

New configuration parameters

You can now add parameters at higher levels:

This lets you set defaults once and reuse them across lower levels, so you don’t have to configure the same parameters again and again. Don't worry, you can also override parameters at lower levels.

Record response bodies and cookies in HTML logs

With the new Record Body and Record Cookies values of our Start HTML Log Monitoring module, you can capture server response bodies and cookie content in your HTML logs.

UI improvements for Tosca XScan

As we continue to improve our Tosca XScan interface, we introduced the Auto select button for the anchor identification method. This allows you to select when Tosca XScan engages its automatic anchor selection, letting Tosca XScan run faster and smoother.

Reuse assets across workspaces

You can now reuse modules and reusable test steps from other workspaces in your tenant as shared assets. Build on your organization's existing work without duplicating or rebuilding assets from scratch. All you have to do is define a workspace as a shared asset library.

Tosca Agentic Test Automation: Generate TBox or Vision AI test cases

When you generate test cases, you can now choose between the following steering methods:

  • TBox reads your application's control based on their technical properties. Best for SAP GUI and SAP Fiori apps with accessible control hierarchies.

  • Vision AI recognizes controls visually, regardless of the technology. Ideal for SAP Fiori apps or complex UIs.

Key vault support for unattended test runs with Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)

To set up your team agent for unattended test runs with RDP, you can now fetch user credentials directly from your key vault.

Test run history

We've added a new Run history tab where you can review all triggered test runs for your playlist in one place. Now you can easily see changes and compare test runs.

Improved navigation in Inventory

You don't need to go to a different page anymore to create assets. Start an Automation Recording Assistant scan or an application scan directly from the inventory.

Track your asset's journey

Stay in control of your assets with the new Revision history. See who made changes, when they happened, and easily restore previous versions of your modules, test cases, or reusable test steps.

Improved Tosca XScan interface

We've continued to improve our Tosca XScan's interface and navigation. This time, we added a Make unique button for non-unique controls in the Tosca XScan scan results, and moved the Self-Healing options to a tab under the Identification methods pane in the advanced view of the scanner.

Refreshed documentation experience

We've redesigned the Tosca Cloud documentation with a new home page and improved navigation. The updated layout helps you find what you need faster, whether you're getting started, creating tests, or configuring your environment.

Extended support for Java applications

You can now test Java applications that run on Oracle Java Version 25 LTS.

Module merge is here

You can now merge modules from a module's details page. This ability makes it simpler to maintain your test cases, keep your inventory clean, and collaborate more effectively.

Playlist API now available

We've made the Playlist API publicly available. You can now create, view, update, and delete playlists using the Playlist API.

Create test cases the easy way with ARA

You can create a test case by simply clicking and interacting with your application. Tricentis Automation Recording Assistant (ARA) captures your clicks and actions, and saves them all into a test case.

Smoother PDF table testing

We've updated how the PDF modules process and verify tables, which gives you more consistent results.

If you run existing test cases and see verification failures in a PDF table, rescan the respective PDF.

Choose the browser installation for your web application tests.

We've added the parameter Browser<BrowserName>Path to let you choose a specific browser installation to run with your tests when you have multiple installations on your machine.

Test data: Update specific data records

We've enhanced our Test Data - Update item module so that you can update specific rows and not just the most recently used row. This allows you to build tests for your exact use case without any extra steps.
