Test data management
Make your test data last longer with the new Test data - Find and provide item module. This module allows you to use multiple rows from the same data source for the same test case.
Updated handling for dynamic expressions in passwords
By default, Tosca Cloud now no longer fails a test step if there's an invalid dynamic expression . Tosca Cloud leaves the original password unchanged. This new default behavior minimizes the risk of password leaks because of invalid syntax.
For backwards compatibility, you can create the following environmental variable where you run your tests: TBOX_FORWARD_PASSWORD_WITHOUT_PARSING = False. With this environmental variable, Tosca Cloud shows exceptions like it always has.
Support for the ARIA role treegrid
We've added support for the ARIA role treegrid as a TableTree control. This allows Tosca Cloud to recognize and interact with complex hierarchical data grids.
Improved Inventory
Get full visibility into your modules, reusable test steps and test cases by accessing the new Inventory page. View key information about your assets at a glance and group, move or update them in no time.
Test case editor API
We've made our API available for creating and managing modules, test cases, and reusable test steps. This gives you more ways to automate and integrate your test cases.
Improved name editing for playlists
You can now easily change the name of your playlist by clicking the pencil icon next to it on the top left corner of the Playlists page. This makes editing more intuitive and gives you more control.
Create playlists faster
It's now even more intuitive to create a new playlist. Instead of seeing modal prompts, you can now directly create a playlist, which makes the process easier.
Japan now available as a data region
When registering for Tosca Cloud you can now select Japan as your region. If your team is based in Japan, it means your data will be stored locally and processed with faster response times.
View data region on My plan page
Admin users can now see their data region in the top right corner of the My plan page. This makes it easy to see where your data is stored and processed.
Manage mobile connections
Creating and configuring mobile connections is now easier than ever. Access the new Mobile page and set up local or cloud device connections with just a few clicks.
Improved text box scanning for Host applications
We've made scanning and steering Host text boxes more consistent for your test cases. Tosca XScan now creates your Host modules based on the Content Preview.
Duplicate module attributes
Creating and editing modules just got faster and easier! You can now duplicate any module attribute and quickly customize it to your needs.
DokuSnapper improvements
We've made a few updates to DokuSnapper:
-
A new look for buffer test steps in your DokuSnapper reports. You can use a new test case parameter to display a table with information about your buffer for these test steps.
-
More clarity and consistency for test case start and end times in reports. You can use test case parameters to define how Tosca Cloud formats time in your reports.

Improved standard modules
We're now automatically updating standard modules to the latest version, so they're always up to date.
Also, we've moved them from the Modules tab to the Standard objects tab of the test case editor.
API playground: New look and feel
We’ve reimagined the core of the API playground, building it on a more powerful foundation based on Tosca’s module-oriented architecture. Now, any API message you create becomes a reusable module, just as with other Tosca technologies. You can easily use these modules in the test case building area, update them from either the API playground or the modules page, and include them in full end-to-end test scenarios.
Generate test cases with Tosca Agentic Test Automation
We introduced Tosca Agentic Test Automation, a generative AI assistant that you can interact with via chat. With your prompts, Tosca Agentic Test Automation can quickly generate test cases, speeding up your test authoring process. Try generating a test case and check out these two key features:
-
For all test case generation, Co-create is the default mode, visible at the bottom of the chat window. While using Co-create, Tosca Agentic Test Automation will describe each step and ask for your verification to proceed, allowing you to collaborate with the AI assistant for more precise results.
-
For test cases generated for SAP Fiori applications, Tosca Agentic Test Automation generates a set of work steps, outlining the steps it will follow to create your test case. You can edit the work steps or proceed with them as they are.
Support for cloud service provider capabilities
You can now use the test case parameter WebDriverJson_<ProviderOptionsTag> to manage the capabilities of any cloud service provider, greatly expanding your control during remote testing.

Bulk edit user roles
Admins can now select multiple users and assign them the same role in one step.
Streamlined test case design
Design one, create many: our new business flow functionality helps you build a robust test suite with strong coverage, faster.
First, you define user activities and journeys through your application in a business flow. Its visual nature makes it easy to collaborate with stakeholders and align testing with real business goals. You’ll end up with a clear, actionable framework for high-priority testing scenarios.
Once everything's in place, you generate your test cases with a single click. And since a business flow is a living artifact, you can update it anytime and regenerate test cases as your application evolves.
New integrations page
You can now find all integrations on our new Integrations page. Go to User menu > Settings > Integrations to explore.
Scanning files
We've added support for scanning JSON and XML files. You can now scan and create modules from these file types.
Skip test steps
You can now skip any test step to exclude it from all trial and test runs. That means you can update and fine tune your test step until it's ready. Or streamline debugging by skipping any test steps you want.
Tricentis SeaLights integration
Our new integration with SeaLights can help you reduce the effort and cost of faster deployment:
-
Skip tests that cover unchanged code to cut test cycle time.
-
Focus only on relevant tests to troubleshoot and fix issues sooner.

Convert reusable test steps
You can now leverage your existing test cases and streamline your tests. This new feature lets you take any test step folder and convert it into a reusable test step. This means you can reuse the modules, values, and actions across multiple test cases. Updating the reusable test steps updates all test cases with those test steps.
It's also possible to convert your reusable test steps into test step folders. This lets you edit and fine tune test step values for a test case without changing your reusable test steps.
CPQ support available for Salesforce Scan
You can now automate key Salesforce CPQ scenarios with Salesforce Scan.
Launcher log retention
We've changed Launcher so it only keeps local logs for a maximum of 10 days. This saves local storage on any machine where you install Launcher.
Monitor testing status in SAP Solution Manager
We've made it easier for you to track your test status and progress right in the Tosca Cloud interface.
Import and export test cases
You can now import and export test cases, which are compatible also with Tosca on-prem. Note that you can't import or export screenshots, secrets, and objects larger than 10MB.
SAP Solution Manager compatibility improvement
Tosca Cloud is now fully compatible with the latest versions of SAP GUI, SAP NWBC, SAP UI5, and Fiori. This means you can automate test cases smoothly, even when there are new software updates.
Module parent control identifiers are editable
You can now use the IdentifyingContext module property to manually update how Tosca Cloud identifies embedded elements during testing.
Easier access to Tosca XScan settings
We added a new access point to Tosca XScan settings in the Select Application window. This allows you to configure your preferred scan settings before you actually scan your application. So, you no longer need to open the scan, define your settings, and restart.

Automate test data
Get ready to become faster and more effective with our latest addition to Tosca Cloud: test data in the cloud.
Here's what this addition helps you achieve:
-
Faster test cycles with less manual effort. Automate the process of creating, managing, and provisioning test data. Let your team focus on creating great tests instead of coming up with test data—or fixing hardcoded data in test cases.
-
Enhanced test coverage. Build a broader range of test scenarios with diverse test data.
-
Improved resource efficiency. Easily create subsets of various data sets to provide your team with smaller, more relevant data pools.
-
Better scalability and data accessibility. Build and host your test data in the cloud.
Plus, we're excited to share a sneak peek at what's coming next. In the (near) future, you'll be able to streamline test case design: define your business flows, then generate test cases based on these business flows. Stay tuned for more updates!
Recovery scenarios
Make your test cases more reliable and stable by using recovery scenarios and cleanup scenarios. A recovery scenario tells Tosca Cloud what to do, test step by test step, when there's a failure. Use a cleanup scenario to make sure your system under test is ready for a test run. There's even a parameter to let you choose whether you want to retry on the test case, test step, or test step value level.
View dashboard data
The Tosca Cloud Home page now features a dashboard that gives you a high-level view of activity in your selected workspace. For some sections, you can also customize the data by selecting a time frame.
Explore the dashboard sections to see a variety of data:
-
Results from your most recent playlist runs.
-
A list of playlists scheduled to run next.
-
Statistics and recent activity related to your test artifacts.

Additional automation support
We've added support for more technologies. Here's what your tests can now also cover:
Allow read-only access
Now, you can give relevant stakeholders read-only access to up-to-date data and testing results without worrying about your limits for user seats. The viewer role no longer consumes a Tosca Cloud seat.
Enhanced modules
Manage modules more effectively, extend automation coverage, and seamlessly update test cases as you edit modules with these new features:
-
View module configurations, including attributes and properties, and easily create test cases with significantly improved automation coverage.
-
Fully manage and control your modules by editing the module properties.
-
Automatically update all test cases that use edited or updated modules, which enables efficient change management at scale.
Reusuable test steps
You can now group your test steps into one reusable test step and reuse them across your test cases. When anything changes in your application under test, just update your reusable test step. Tosca Cloud automatically updates your test cases, saving you time and effort. You can even add parameters to your reusable test steps.
Structural and logic elements for test case editing
We've added objects, conditions, and loops to make your test case building more efficient. Here's what you can now use in your test cases:
