User roles and permissions

Tosca Cloud has the following user roles:

  • Administrator is the role with the most permissions for managing the organization's subscription, test environment, and users. The user who first registers the account automatically becomes an admin.

  • Contributor is the role with the most permissions for test authoring and test execution.

  • Viewer is the role with the least permissions overall. In essence, it's "Look, but don't touch." Users with this role don't count against the user limit in your plan, which means that you can invite as many viewers as you like.

If you're not sure which role you have, go to  User menu > Settings > Users, find yourself on the list, and check your Role. Administrators can also change user roles for Tosca Cloud.
