Manage workspaces

Workspaces divide your domain into individual sections. If you want to separate your work by products, projects, or teams, create separate workspaces for each. All users of a workspace share resources and collaborate.

Note that any user that belongs to your organization can access any of your organization's workspaces and resources. Tosca Cloud doesn't currently offer restricted (invite-only) access.

Create workspaces

When you start out, your organization has two workspaces: Default and Samples.

As an administrator, you can create additional workspaces. To do so, go to  User menu > Settings > Workspaces and select Create workspace.

By default, every new workspace comes with standard test steps and logic elements. If you select the respective option in the creation dialog, the new workspace also includes samples: modules, test cases, and a playlist for the Tricentis sample app (opens in new tab).

Tosca Cloud doesn't have any restrictions on workspaces, so you can create as many as you need.

Edit or delete workspaces

You can edit or delete any workspace that you or one of your fellow administrators created. To do so, go to  User menu > Settings > Workspaces and hover over a workspace to get access to its options.

Deleting a workspace deletes the workspace and all resources in it, such as modules or test cases. You can't undo deletions or restore deleted objects.

Get the workspace ID

If you want to run your tests in one of your custom Tosca Cloud workspace instead of the default one, you might need its workspace ID. To get the workspace ID, go to  User menu > Settings > Workspaces and check the Workspace ID column of the workspace you're interested in.
