Create reports
Use reports to narrow in on a specific data point or take a broad overview of activity over a period of time.
Here's what you need to know about reports:
-
All users in the same workspace can view and download reports.
-
Tosca Cloud stores reports for 30 days and then deletes them automatically.
-
You can use test case parameters to create customizable reports in Microsoft Word and Excel format.
-
You can't create reports from test runs on a personal agent or test runs from Tosca on-prem.
Create a report
Admins and contributors can create reports. Viewers can access but can't create reports.
To create a report, follow these steps:
-
Select
from the left menu bar to navigate to the Reports page.
-
Select Create report to open the Create report window. The system automatically selects the current workspace.
-
Choose a report type from the dropdown list, Add a date range and, optionally, edit the report name or add a description.
-
Select Edit filter to add filters your data.
-
Select Preview to see your data in the report and Edit if you'd like to change anything.
-
Save when you're done.
-
After saving, you can select Reuse filters to create a new report using the same filters.
Share a report
All user roles can share reports. To share a report externally, download it as a PDF. You can download a report directly from the list view or after opening it.
Remember that reports are only stored for 30 days after creation.
Report types
In Tosca Cloud we offer the following report types:
-
Run results and quality trends report: An overview of the test runs in your selected time period including charts that group test runs by results such as succeeded, failed, and so on. Use this report to narrow in on a time period that covers specific tests and testers or take a broad overview of testing efforts over the course of a longer time period.
-
Automation assets trends report: Exposes which playlists haven't been run and which playlists were least successful in the selected time period. Also includes charts to show the creation rate of automation assets. Use this report to find playlists that have been neglected and focus on improving the playlists that failed the most.
