Organize and manage requirements

Before you can track test coverage and run progress, you need to organize your requirements into a structure that reflects your business cases. You build this structure on the Requirements page using folders, requirement sets, and requirements.

Understand the hierarchy

Here's how the requirement structure works in Tosca Cloud:

To create any type of item in the hierarchy, follow these steps:

  1. Select the parent item in the left panel or Requirements view on the right.

  2. Select Create in the left panel or the top right corner of the Requirements view.

  3. Select the type of item you want to create. The available types depend on the selected level.

  4. Enter a meaningful name for the item.

  5. Select Save to keep the changes.

Manage requirements

Here's how you can manage your requirements:

  • Drag and drop items to reorder them. You can only reorder items within the allowed hierarchy.

  • To delete an item, select it and then select Delete in the toolbar.

Remember to select Save to apply your changes.
