Explore the dashboard

The Tosca Cloud Home page features a dashboard to give a quick overview of data from your workspace. The dashboard focuses on different elements of the testing process and is visible to all users, regardless of role. You can refresh the dashboard data by reloading the page or choosing a different time frame.

You can view the dashboard anytime, just select Home from the left menu bar and scroll down.

Choose a workspace

The dashboard displays data based on the selected workspace in the top menu bar.

  • If you're a new user, the dashboard displays data from your organization's default workspace.

  • If you're a returning user, the dashboard displays data from the last workspace you visited.

To see data from a different workspace, choose your preferred workspace from the drop down in the top navigation bar.

Choose a time frame

Some sections of the dashboard allow you to filter the data based on a time frame. By default, the dashboard displays data from the last seven days.

You can choose a different time frame from the options at the top of the section:

  • Choose Last 24 hours to quickly check results from yesterday's work.

  • Choose 7 days to see results for the past week.

  • Choose 30 days to start building those monthly reports.

Check your data

Browse the dashboard to find the data that's most interesting to you.

Run results

The Run results section displays data from past test runs. There are a few important things to consider while reviewing the data:

  • The results include a combination of personal data and workspace data. If you run a playlist on a personal agent, the resulting data will appear here and be visible only to you.

  • The data is collected after a playlist run begins, which sometimes differs from the scheduled time.

There are two charts in the Run results section:

  • A donut chart that displays the total number of test runs.

  • A bar chart that displays test runs over time.

Both charts group test runs by status to create different sections with different colors.

They're also interactive. Click on any section of the chart to jump to the selected test runs on the Test runs page. Hover over any section of either chart to reveal a quick summary of the data.

Recently edited

The Recently edited section gives a quick overview of test artifacts you've edited in the last seven days. Check a playlist's status at a glance or see which modules have been modified.

Click on the name of a test artifact to leave the homepage and open the artifact on its native page.

Test artifact creation

The Test artifact creation section displays the total number of playlists and test cases created in the selected time period. There is a total count for each kind of test artifact as well as a bar chart that shows test artifact creation over time.

Hover over any section of the bar chart for a quick data summary.

Scheduled runs

The Scheduled runs section displays a list of playlists that are next in the queue to run. This allows you to gain insight into what's coming next in your team's pipeline or check to make sure all necessary playlists are scheduled.

You can see when each playlist will run, the playlist name and description (if any), the status of the last run, as well as the name of the person who scheduled the playlist.

What's next
