Create TestCases with Tricentis Automation Recording Assistant

With Tricentis Automation Recording Assistant (Tricentis ARA), you can create TestCases quickly and easily. You can record a TestCase just by using the application as you normally do. During the recording, you interact with the application, and Tricentis ARA translates your actions into TestCases and corresponding Modules.

Work with Tricentis ARA

To work with Tricentis ARA, follow these steps:

  1. Start Tricentis ARA.

    You can control the recording process with the Tricentis ARA window.

  2. Create TestSteps by performing one or more of the following actions:

  3. Pause and resume the recording process, if necessary.

  4. Stop the recording.

  5. Optionally edit the recording by performing one or more of the following actions:

  6. Save the recording.

  7. Work with the results of the recording.

Record with the standalone version

The installation of Tosca Commander also includes a standalone version of Tricentis ARA.

To start the standalone version of Tricentis ARA in Windows, go to Start->Tricentis->Automation Recording Assistant.
