Get started with the Tosca Cloud and qTest integration
The Tosca Cloud integration with qTest SaaS lets you manage requirements and reporting in qTest, while also taking advantage of the ability to run tests in Tosca Cloud:
-
qTest SaaS: This is your central hub for test management and reporting.
-
Tosca Cloud: This is your tool to automate and execute tests.
This integration is only planned for qTest SaaS versions. For information on how to integrate with Tosca On-Prem, which also works with qTest OnPremises, check out qTest and Tosca Integration: Quick Start Guide.
Integrated workflow
A typical workflow includes the following steps:
-
Configure the Tosca Cloud integration between qTest and Tosca Cloud.
-
Review detailed results artifacts in Tosca Cloud (opens in a new tab).
Known limitations
This first release of the Tosca Cloud integration has some known limitations that we'll address in future releases.
Integration limitations
Here's what you can't do when you set up the qTest - Tosca Cloud integration:
-
Link to an existing Tosca Cloud workspace. The integration creates a new workspace.
-
Disable the integration after you configure it.
-
Remove or change the link between the qTest project and the Tosca Cloud workspace.
-
Map custom test run statuses from Tosca. You can only map Passed, Failed, and Incomplete statuses.
Test case and test execution limitations
Here's what you can't do when you convert a qTest test case to a Tosca Cloud test case:
-
Unlink a test case from Tosca Cloud after converting it.
-
View changes made to test steps in Tosca Cloud from qTest.
-
View test step actual results, test logs, videos, and attachments in qTest. You can only view those in Tosca Cloud.
-
Move a converted test case to a different project in qTest.
