If you have upgraded to LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1 from an earlier release, please note the following:
Supported configurations
LiveCompare consists of a set of server components installed on a Windows server, and a set of ABAP components installed on one or more SAP systems. LiveCompare supports:

Server components from release N with ABAP components from release N (for example, server components from LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1with ABAP components from LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1).

Server components from release N with ABAP components from release N - 1 (for example, server components from LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1 with ABAP components from LiveCompare 2025.1).
If the server components have an earlier release than the ABAP components, some functionality provided by the ABAP components may not be supported by the server. If the ABAP components have an earlier release than the server components, server functionality that relies on more recent ABAP components won't be supported.
SAP authorizations role
The SAP role /ICORP/LC_CORE_AUTHS3 provides the authorizations required to run LiveCompare. If you have upgraded to LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1 from LiveCompare 4.6 or earlier, you will need to modify the SAP user accounts used for each of your RFC Destinations and assign the /ICORP/LC_CORE_AUTHS3 role to them.
If your LiveCompare SAP accounts use a custom role, see the Add LiveCompare authorizations to a custom role section for details on how to apply the required LiveCompare authorizations to the custom role.
Object links cache databases
Upgrading to LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1 resets any object links caches that have been generated for your RFC Destinations. An object links cache will be reset by the Find Object Links, Uses What and Where Used actions if these actions identify that the cache was generated by a previous LiveCompare release.

If you have upgraded to LiveCompare 2023.1 from LiveCompare 4.8 or earlier, see the Guided Configuration following an upgrade from LiveCompare 4.8 or earlier help topic before running the Commit Configuration process.

Upgrade from LiveCompare 2023.1
Smart Impact app
The Smart Impact app returns most-at-risk objects that are in the same application area as the impacting changing object. You will need to run new app-based variants of the Smart Impact app to view these results.
Pipelines
Upgrading from LiveCompare 2023.1 to LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1 updates the schema used for Pipeline definitions. During the upgrade, the existing Pipelines.xml file in the <LiveCompare user data dir>\private directory is renamed as Pipelines_<n>.xml.bak. It is not possible to use the upgraded Pipelines.xml file with earlier releases of LiveCompare.
Search Test Repository actions
In LiveCompare 2023.2, the Search Test Repository action was updated to search test plans in SAP Solution Manager Test Repositories to find test hits. However, this search is not supported if you are using LiveCompare ABAP components earlier than 2023.2.

Release Streams
Release Streams in LiveCompare 4.8 have been renamed as Pipelines. When upgrading to LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1 from LiveCompare 4.8, any existing Release Streams are automatically converted to Pipelines. However, if you have any custom apps or workflows that use Release Stream parameters, these will need to be reworked to use Pipeline parameters.
Projects
Projects in LiveCompare 4.8 have been renamed as Resource Groups in LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1. When upgrading to LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1 from LiveCompare 4.8, any existing Projects are converted to Resource Groups. The Projects.xml file in the <LiveCompare user data dir>\private directory is converted to a file named ResourceGroups.xml. It is not possible to use the upgraded ResourceGroups.xml file with earlier releases of LiveCompare.
Search Test Repository actions
In LiveCompare 2023.2, the Search Test Repository action was updated to search test plans in SAP Solution Manager Test Repositories to find test hits. However, this search is not supported if you are using LiveCompare ABAP components earlier than 2023.2.
S.01 - Users Lock Status and S.12 Users with Initial Password Basis templates
These templates are no longer available as the authorizations required for SAP table USR02 have been removed from LiveCompare’s authorization transports. If you have upgraded from LiveCompare 4.8 and have copied these templates to any existing workspaces, these templates shouldn't be used if your SAP systems don't have the authorizations required to access the USR02 table.

Performance history data
Internal class names stored in SAP’s performance history data are stored as classes (CLAS) in LiveCompare’s PHD tab, using the external name of the class. If you upgrade to LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1 from LiveCompare 4.5 or earlier, class-like programs (PROG) in any existing LiveCompare performance history databases will be automatically converted to classes (CLAS). These names are 32 characters long, with 0 or more equals signs followed by the characters ‘CP’.

Test Repository configuration settings
In LiveCompare 4.4, the Configuration - Test Repository screen uses X to indicate that a search option was set. However, in LiveCompare 2025.2 patch 1, the screen uses Y, N and <blank>. If have upgraded from LiveCompare 4.4 and are using Tosca Test Repository integration, sign in as a user with administrator permissions and clear all the X values in the Configuration - Test Repository screen. This will allow LiveCompare to use the default options when searching Tosca Test Repositories.

Migrate Smart Impact Analysis reports to Smart Insights
The Dashboard screen provides an overview of the impact analysis results generated by LiveCompare. To include Smart Impact Analysis results from LiveCompare 4.2 in Dashboard charts, run the Migrate Smart Impact Analysis Reports to Smart Insights workflow in the Tools templates package.
