Dashboard

The Dashboard screen provides a graphical summary of the results generated by the following apps and workflows:

The Dashboard screen allows you to access several LiveCompare features, including the apps user interface. LiveCompare displays the Dashboard screen when a user with Editor or Consumer permissions signs in. You can also access it by selecting the Apps tool button. button in the studio.

Dashboard charts

The Dashboard home page displays the charts listed below. A scheduled task named Tricentis LiveCompare Dashboard runs each night on the LiveCompare server to update the charts with the latest impact analysis results.

Hover over a node or column in a chart to display its numerical value. Select Export to PNG underneath each chart to export the chart to a .png file, or Show as table to display the chart’s data in a Data Grid.

Test Coverage by Pipeline

For each Pipeline LiveCompare uses for impact analysis, this column chart shows the number of most-at-risk objects that matched a test in the Pipeline’s Most-at-risk Search Test Repositories. The dates indicate the year and month when LiveCompare ran the impact analysis app or workflow.

Most-at-risk by Pipeline

For each Pipeline LiveCompare uses for impact analysis, this column chart shows the number of objects that LiveCompare identified as Most-at-risk. LiveCompare recommends these objects for testing. The dates indicate the year and month when LiveCompare ran the impact analysis app or workflow.

Test Gaps by Pipeline

For each Pipeline LiveCompare uses for impact analysis, this line chart shows the number of most-at-risk objects that didn’t match a test in the Pipeline’s Most-at-risk Search Test Repositories. The dates indicate the year and month when LiveCompare ran the impact analysis app or workflow.

Used by Pipeline

For each Pipeline LiveCompare uses for impact analysis, this column chart shows the number of used objects retrieved for the Pipeline’s Usage System in its PHD tab. The dates indicate the year and month when LiveCompare ran the impact analysis app or workflow.

Demonstration data

If a LiveCompare Administrator sets the DashboardDemoData field to X in the Configuration - General screen, the Dashboard screen’s charts will include demonstration data for two pipelines named __Demo Pipeline 1__ and __Demo Pipeline 2__. You can use the data to demonstrate the Dashboard screen’s charts without running any impact analyses.

LiveCompare adds the demonstration data to the charts when the Task Scheduler next runs the Tricentis LiveCompare Dashboard task on the LiveCompare server.

Navigation panel

The Dashboard navigation panel includes the following icons:

For Administrators

Icon Description
Guided Configuration icon. Displays the Guided Configuration screen. Here you set up the resources required for impact analysis automatically.
Projects icon. Displays the Projects - Administrators screen. Here you can create projects that include the apps required for common SAP lifecycle events.
Process Runs icon. Displays the Process Runs screen. Here you can check the run status of each workflow, run or abort workflows, schedule workflows, or display them in the studio.
Apps Hub icon. Displays the Apps Hub screen. Here you can monitor the progress of apps.
Tools icon. Displays the Tools screen. Here you can maintain LiveCompare licenses, display usage graphs, check the health and status of LiveCompare services, and view the contacts set up by your Administrator.
Studio icon. Displays the LiveCompare studio. Here you can view workflows and maintain other LiveCompare resources.

For LiveCompare Editors

Icon Description
Value Dashboard icon. Displays the Value Dashboard screen. Here you can see the cost benefits you’ve gained from your use of LiveCompare.
Dashboard icon. Displays the Dashboard screen. Here you can see a set of impact analysis summary charts.
Projects icon. Displays the Projects screen. Here you can view the SAP lifecycle event projects your Administrator has created.
Process Runs icon. Displays the Process Runs screen. Here you can check the run status of each workflow, run or abort workflows, schedule workflows, or display them in the studio.
Apps Hub icon. Displays the Apps Hub screen. Here you can run apps, monitor their progress and view their results.
Impact Analysis icon. Displays the Impact Analysis Results app. Here you can decide which executables belong in the test scope, select which tests to run, and decide what to do with executables that don't have any tests.
Tools icon. Displays the Tools screen. Here you can display usage graphs, check the health status of LiveCompare services, run the Quick Compare Wizard, manage the resources required by the SAP HANA Migration Assessment app, cleanse performance history data you’ve downloaded from SAP, and view the contacts set up by your Administrator.
Studio icon. Displays the LiveCompare studio. Here you can develop and run workflows, and maintain other LiveCompare resources.

For LiveCompare Consumers

Header

If you have LiveCompare Editor or Consumer permissions and your administrator has created one or more Projects, the header section includes a Select Project dropdown. Here you can select which project LiveCompare displays in the Projects screen.

If LiveCompare is Resource Group-controlled, the header section includes a Select Resource Group dropdown. You can only access resources in the currently selected Resource Group.

You can find the following icons on the top right-hand side of the Dashboard screen:

Icon Description
Help tool button. Displays help for the current screen.
User tool button Displays the My Profile screen, showing your user profile.
Log out tool button. Signs you out of your current LiveCompare session.
