Add Vera service account to Vera system role

Before you add Vera service account to Vera system role, make sure you've created the following:

• A Vera service account in Jira or Jira Cloud

• A Vera system role

Note that adding Vera service account to Vera system role is required depending on how the Vera System Role was originally configured. The Jira Administrator may need to perform this step:

• For any existing projects that are converted to Vera, manually add the Vera service account to the Vera System role.

• For any newly created projects, the Vera service account will be added by default, and can be removed if Vera will not be enabled on that project.

Add Vera service account to Vera system role in Jira Server

To add the Vera service account to Vera system role in Jira Server, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Jira Administration Settings > Projects > Projects tab.

2. To edit, select the Jira project.

3. Navigate to Project Name > User and Roles and select Add Users to a Role.

4. Add the Vera service account to this project, select Tx3 VERA System role and select Add.

Add Vera service account to Vera system role in Jira Cloud

To add Vera service account to Vera system role in Jira Cloud, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Jira Administration Settings > Projects > Manage Projects.

2. Locate and click on the Jira project to edit.

3. Select the additional menu icon and select Project Settings.

4. Navigate to People > Add People:

   • Add the Vera service account to this project.

   • Select Tx3 VERA System role.

   • Select Add.
