Create Vera service account in Jira

Vera uses the service account in Jira to update Jira fields. Note that this service account should not be used by any individual and the credentials should not be shared.

To create a Vera service account in Jira, follow these steps:

1. Select the Jira Administration icon in the top right corner of the window.

2. Select User Mangement from the dropdown.

3. Select Create user and enter the following details in the Create new user form:

   Field	Description
   Email address	Email can vary (must be a valid email address)
   Full name	Full name can vary
   Username	Username can vary
   Password	Password can vary

4. Check the Jira Software checkbox for Application access.

5. Select Create user.

Note: The email, full name, username, and password for the Vera service account do not need to conform to specific values, but the username and password must align with the credentials of the Vera service account defined in the Vera connection in the web portal's Connections Management page.
