Tosca Agentic Test Automation is an AI assistant for Tosca Cloud. It helps you create test cases with natural language through a chat window.

Whether you're an administrator setting things up or a tester ready to create tests, pick the path that fits your role:

You need an administrator account for Tosca Cloud. Once that's in place, follow these steps:

  1. Install the Launcher on each machine that runs Tosca Agentic Test Automation. The Launcher installation includes all the necessary components.

  2. Make sure your team has enough AI credits to keep testing uninterrupted.

  3. Review the AI data usage policy to understand how Tosca Agentic Test Automation processes your data.

You need the contributor role and the Launcher installed on your machine. Once that's in place, follow these steps:

  1. Set your screen resolution to 1920 x 1080 and the display scale to 100%. If you use multiple monitors, all monitors must have the same resolution. Tosca Agentic Test Automation reads your screen at the pixel level, so these settings have to match exactly.

  2. Allow browser notifications so Tosca Agentic Test Automation can alert you when it needs input. Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

    • In Chrome, for example, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site permissions > Notifications. Under Allowed to send notifications, select Add and paste your Tosca Cloud domain.

    • On your Windows machine, go to Settings > System > Notifications. Turn on Notifications, turn off Do not disturb, and make sure no Focus sessions are active.

  3. If you use Microsoft Edge, disable rounded corners. Tosca Agentic Test Automation is sensitive to pixel-level differences, and rounded corners can interfere with control detection. Open edge://flags, search for rounded, and set it to Disabled.

  4. Generate your first test case with natural language and see how Tosca Agentic Test Automation speeds up test authoring.

Open Tosca Agentic Test Automation

Tosca Agentic Test Automation is available from the following places in Tosca Cloud:

  • Select Tosca Agentic Test Automation in the top menu.

  • Select Generate test case on the Test cases page.

The first time you open Tosca Agentic Test Automation, accept the Terms of Use before you start.

Check your AI credits

Tosca Agentic Test Automation tracks your usage with AI credits. Each interaction costs one credit. This includes clicks, text inputs, verifications, and buffer actions. All interactions count, even if they don't match your original test intent.

To check your credit status, go to the Tosca Agentic Test Automation settings. It shows you the following information:

  • Total credits assigned to your account.

  • Credits remaining.

Tosca Agentic Test Automation warns you when your credit balance drops below 2,000 credits. If your account has fewer than 2,000 credits, for example, if it is a trial account, the warning shows when your balance drops below 200 credits.

If you run out of credits, Tosca Agentic Test Automation becomes unavailable and shows an error.
