Create Tricentis Server Repository workspaces

Tricentis Server Repository workspaces provide an easy way to connect to a project, without having to remember connection strings. This topic explains how to create this type of workspace.

Before you start

If you haven't yet, double-check with your administrator:

• Have they prepared the necessary infrastructure?

• Are you in the right Tricentis User Administration user group? Only users that are in a group that's assigned to the project can create Tricentis Server Repository workspaces connected to this project.

Create a new workspace

To create a new Tricentis Server Repository workspace, follow these steps:

1. Start Tosca Commander.

2. On the start screen, go to Project->Settings->Tricentis Services and fill out the setting ServerEndpointAddress. You only have to do this once, when you create your first workspace.

3. Go back to the start screen and select Create new.

4. In the subsequent screen, select Tricentis Server Repository from the Select type of Repository dropdown menu.

5. If you're not signed in yet, select Log in to Tricentis Server. Then sign in with your Tricentis User Administration credentials.

6. The Project Name dropdown shows all projects where you're in the assigned user group. Select the project that you want to connect to.

7. Enter a name for your local workspace into Select name for new workspace.

8. Select OK.
