Set up your platform

To run tests in NeoLoad Web, you need to set up the platform by installing and configuring Load Generators and Controllers. These components connect with NeoLoad Web, whether you're using the SaaS or on-premise version.

Create a Zone

Start by grouping your Controller Agents and Load Generator Agents into a Zone. Zones organize resources to run tests efficiently. For more information, check out Manage zones.

Install and configure a Controller

In NeoLoad Web you need to install and set up a Controller to manage your test runs. Controllers orchestrate the test and connect with NeoLoad Web. For more information check out Install and configure a Controller.

License considerations

NeoLoad automatically applies the appropriate license based on your setup. By default, it uses the installed license on your system. If you have an active leased license, NeoLoad automatically applies it during the test.

If no license is installed or leased, NeoLoad Web automatically leases a license for the duration of the test. For more information, check out Manage license.

Install and configure a Load Generator

In NeoLoad, after you set up the Controller, install and configure a Load Generator. Load Generators simulate virtual users during your tests and connect to NeoLoad Web. For more information on how to complete this set up, check out Install and configure a Load Generator.

Configure Dynamic Infrastructure providers

In NeoLoad Web, when you plan to use cloud-based or dynamic infrastructure for your testing, configure the infrastructure provider in NeoLoad Web before running your tests. For more information, check out Dynamic Infrastructure.
