Manage your license

Manage licenses in NeoLoad Web to run tests and allocate Virtual User (VU) capacity. To start, install and activate your first license.

Where to manage licenses

In NeoLoad Web you can manage licenses in the License and leases tab in your account settings. To view detailed licensing usage data, including lease and VUH consumption, check out Usage history.

Install license with a license file

If you received a license file, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the License and leases tab in your account settings.

  2. Select Activate license and then Install license at the bottom of the dialog.

  3. Upload your .lic file to install the license.

Check your license details

After activating a license, NeoLoad Web displays the following information:

  • Client ID: Identifies the license unique ID.

  • Concurrent runs: Indicates the number of concurrent tests left.

  • Edition: Specifies the license type, such as Enterprise or Professional.

  • Expiration date: Shows when the license expires.

  • Name and company: Provides the owner and organization details.

  • SAP VUs quota: Displays the remaining SAP VUs available.

  • Status: Displays whether the license is valid, not activated, deactivated, or expired.

  • Version: Displays the NeoLoad version linked to the license.

  • Web VUs quota: Shows the remaining NeoLoad Web VUs in the license.

Activate your license

If the installed license requires activation, follow these steps to activate it:

  1. Select Activate in the License tab in your account settings.

  2. Download the activation request file.

  3. Sign in to the NeoLoad customer area and upload the activation request file. Follow the instructions to download the activated license file.

  4. Return to NeoLoad Web and select Install license to upload the activated license file.

Deactivate your license

If you installed the license with a .lic file, you can deactivate it and move to another NeoLoad Web account. To do that, follow these steps:

  1. Select Deactivate in the License tab in your account settings.

  2. Generate a deactivation request file by following the on-screen instructions.

  3. Upload the deactivation request file to the NeoLoad customer area.

  4. Confirm deactivation to make the license available for installation elsewhere.
