Recommendations

If you have a shared license, you can perform a multi-agent deployment. Otherwise, with a license file, use NeoLoad with an agent at a time.

To manage several agents with NeoLoad, follow these steps:

  1. To install NeoLoad on each agent, create a zip archive of your NeoLoad version and install it as a "Tool" in Administration > Integrations.

    NeoLoad will be deployed on all agents.

  2. Use Neotys Team Server to lease a shared license for all agents.
    See Configure a NTS server for more information.

To manage several agents with NeoLoad, follow these steps:

  1. Install NeoLoad on the machine where the agent is installed.

  2. To manage the license, there are 2 options:

    • Use a license file: the user executing NeoLoad from TeamCity must be the same user who registered a license with NeoLoad. To that end, configure the plan to run as a specific user. See Install a standard license key for more information.

    • Use a shared license with Neotys Team Server. See Configure a NTS server for more information.

Install the NeoLoad plugin for TeamCity

The NeoLoad plugin can be installed with TeamCity from version 10.0.4. It has been tested on TeamCity version 10.0.4 and on NeoLoad from versions 5.2 to 5.5.

Installing the NeoLoad plugin for TeamCity is performed in the TeamCity interface.

Note: The NeoLoad plugin for TeamCity can be also downloaded from the NeoLoad Plugins page on the Neotys website. For more information about how to install TeamCity plugins, refer to the Installing Additional Plugins page on the TeamCity website.

To install the NeoLoad plugin for TeamCity, follow these steps:

  1. In TeamCity, go to the Administration screen.

  2. Click Plugins List.

  3. Click the Available plugins link.


  4. Search for NeoLoad.

  5. Download the NeoLoad plugin zip (do not change the file name of the plugin).

  6. Upload plugin zip by clicking the relevant link.

  7. Restart the TeamCity server.
    The NeoLoad plugin version is listed on the Administration | Plugins List page.

Uninstall the NeoLoad plugin for TeamCity

To uninstall the NeoLoad plugin for TeamCity, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the plugin package from the <TeamCity Data Directory>/plugins directory.

  2. Restart the TeamCity server.
