Install a license key

You can either install:

• an evaluation license key available on the on the Tricentis Support Hub

• the custom license key acquired from NeoLoad and received by email

Install a license key with GUI

The license key must be installed into NeoLoad with the license management tool. Choosing Help > License management > License section gives access to the Use a license file option.

Note: Evaluation license keys are already activated.

To install a license key, follow these steps:

1. Click Help > License management.

2. Select License.

3. Choose Use a license file.

4. Click the Enter a license key button.

5. Select your .lic file and click OK. Once the license file is loaded, the License Information section describes its content.

Install a license key without GUI

It is also possible to install a NeoLoad license key on a machine without using the GUI. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Copy your license file in the NeoLoad user folder:

   • On Linux/Unix, it should be under: /home/<username>/.neotys/NeoLoad (your home directory should be the property "user.home").

   • On Windows, it is: C:\ProgramData\Neotys\NeoLoad.

2. Make sure the license file is named license.lic.
