View workspaces

Select the Workspaces folder in the LiveCompare hierarchy to display a list of workspaces registered on the LiveCompare server. If you have LiveCompare Administrator permissions or if no Resource Groups have been defined, all the registered workspaces are shown. If you have Editor permissions and LiveCompare is Resource Group-controlled, only workspaces in the currently selected Resource Group are displayed.

The workspaces are displayed in a Data Grid which has the following columns.

Column Description
Status The status of the workspace database. ‘OK’ indicates that the database is complete and available. ‘Cannot Load’ indicates that there is a problem with the workspace’s database, and it can't be loaded.
Name The name of the workspace.
Description The description for the workspace.
Created The date and time when the workspace was created or registered.
Actions This column includes actions that are available for workspaces.

Export a workspace

Click in the Data Grid’s Action column to export a workspace to a zip file. You can send exported workspaces to Tricentis support for diagnosis and troubleshooting.

Select workspaces

Click one or more of checkboxes in the first column to select or deselect workspaces in the Data Grid. The checkbox in the first column heading may be used to select or deselect all the workspaces. The Select Workspaces drop down list may be used as follows.

  • Choose Apps to select workspaces that were created by running apps, workflows registered as REST APIs or workflows registered as Web Services. These workspace names begin with __APP.

  • Choose Error to select workspaces that have an error status (for example, Cannot Load).

  • Choose All to select all workspaces.

The selected workspaces are listed below the Data Grid next to the Selected Workspaces label. ‘All’ is displayed if all the workspaces are selected; ‘No workspaces selected’ is displayed if no workspaces are selected.

Click Clear Selection to deselect all the workspaces.

Refresh the Data Grid
