What's new in 2025.2
We're excited to introduce Tricentis Vera 2025.2!
This topic gives you an overview of our 2025.2 key features. For a detailed list of all features, resolved issues, and known issues, please check out the technical release notes.
Tosca integration improvements
Vera now offers an enhanced integration between Tosca and qTest. Tosca can send execution results to qTest and attach them to the qTest Execution Log. This update allows users to review test results in qTest before routing Test Runs for approval. Vera now retrieves the test result directly from qTest instead of Tosca.
Note: To enable this improvement, you require configuration changes to Tosca and Vera.
Linked Records
The Record Detail view now displays all linked records without requiring a release selection. Users can filter linked records directly in the Linked Records tab, making it easier to see cross-release associations or narrow the view to a specific subset.
Improved Print View
The Print View page now applies the current Linked Records filter when generating output. Users no longer need to select a release to include relevant linked records in the view.
Web Portal improvements
The Defect Status field was removed to avoid confusion from showing outdated defect status during approval. Additionally, the Signature Verification table now supports filtering, column reordering, and column visibility. Selections are cached and persist across sessions.
Workflows – technical preview
A configurable workflow feature is available as a technical preview and can be enabled via an environment variable. This workflow system can apply to qTest Requirements and includes a default workflow. Site administrators can create and activate custom workflows with defined states and transition rules.
For more information on how to create workflows in Vera, check out our workflows tutorial.
Vera qTest Requirement approval – technical preview
The qTest Requirement approval is now available as a technical preview. Vera updates the qTest Requirement Vera Action field with available transitions based on the current Vera approval status defined in the assigned workflow. Additionally, in this technical preview, qTest does not enforce Vera approval logic. The qTest Requirement remains editable, including fields managed by Vera.
Note: To enable this feature, you must add fields to the qTest Requirement in projects integrated with Vera.
