Enable Vera integration in qTest

To use Vera integration in qTest, you need to enable it within the qTest Integration Settings.

Note: You need to add your service account user as a Project Admin within the User Management settings in qTest. Also, keep in mind to not use a colon character (:) in your service account password for the qTest service account. This character is not supported by the qTest integration and will cause it to fail.

Before you can route a test case or test run for approval, you must enable the Vera integration:

  1. In the project where you want to enable Vera integration, select the gear icon.

  2. In the dropdown menu, select Integration Settings.

  3. In the External Systems panel on the left-hand side, select the Vera tab.

    The Vera integrations page appears.

  4. Enter the following Vera URL in the VERA URL field:

https://<Vera API qTest Route Actions Service>:<port>/callbacks/qTest/route_action

Note: As of 2023.2, the URL must point to the Vera API qTest Route Actions microservice. For projects already connected to Vera, the simplest way to enable this is to re-route the existing URL to the new microservice container. Otherwise, each connected qTest project will need to be updated with the new URL.

  5. Select the desired approval option checkboxes.

  6. Toggle the Activation status to ON and Save.

Note that once the integration is saved, you will need to refresh your browser for the changes to take effect.
