AI data usage policy

Where we use AI

Currently, you can optionally use AI to perform the following functions:

These are the only areas in our software where AI can interact with your data.

Data processing

Additional specialized context is added to the user prompt and submitted to the LLM through API.

Tricentis Test Management for Jira is using Microsoft's Cognitive Services AI tool. The Tricentis Test Management for Jira model is pre-trained and does not use any additional customer data for training purposes. Tricentis will treat customer queries as "Customer Content" according to our General Terms of Use, or your contract with Tricentis. Tricentis will comply with all relevant data privacy laws and your data agreement with Tricentis.

Data retention

We don't save any data from your user prompts.

Because you need to save and store certain objects for you to use later, we do store the following kinds of in-scope end-user data independently outside Atlassian products and services:

  • Test runs

  • Test case steps

  • Attachments

For example, if you generate test case steps with AI, and then choose to save them, the test cases are stored in our database, but we only store them so you can use them.

Where we store data

Our data stores are located in Ireland, the USA, and Australia. For more information on the data residency policy, please contact security@tricentis.com.

Opt in and out

Our AI integrations are automatically enabled when you start using Tricentis Test Management for Jira. We offer manual functions alongside our AI-integrated functions, so you're never forced to use AI to access test case, test step, or defect creation.

If you want to disable our AI integrations, reach out to your admin to deactivate any or all of these features in the Settings, under AI Configuration.
