License management

Tricentis Tosca offers the following licensing types:

  • Cloud licensing: floating licensing via cloud licensing environment hosted by Tricentis. If you use cloud licensing, you don't need to maintain any license server infrastructure on your end.

  • On-premises licensing: floating licensing via your own on-premises license server. If you use on-premises licensing, you use the Tricentis License Server and keep everything within your own network.

With both types, multiple machines have access to the same license pool. Each time a machine runs a specific Tricentis Tosca component, it uses a license from the pool and returns it when it's done.

Access the license configuration

You can access and administer your licenses in one of the following ways:

  • Directly in Tosca. To do so, open Tosca and go to Project > License.

  • By opening the configuration from the Windows Start menu. To do so, go to Start > All Programs > Tricentis > Tosca License Configuration.
