RevTracTest

This workflow simulates the SmartImpact_RevTrac workflow from the Impact Analysis templates folder by taking the same parameter inputs and producing a dummy report. As the RevTracTest workflow runs in a few seconds, it can be used as a quick test to confirm that Rev-Trac is able to run a workflow registered as a web service, and access the results.

Register the workflow as a web service

To register the RevTracTest workflow as a web service and access its WSDL URL, follow these steps while signed in as user with LiveCompare Editor permissions.

1. Copy the RevTracTest workflow to a new workspace. The workspace name shouldn't include any spaces.

2. Select the RevTracTest workflow in the workspace hierarchy and choose Register as Web Service from the context menu.

3. In the Choose Input Parameters screen, select System1, System2, Transports and System3. Click Next.

4. Click Next in the Choose Output Parameter screen.

5. Click Next in the Finish - Confirm Register Web Service screen.

6. Select the Data > Web Services folder in the LiveCompare hierarchy.

7. In the details pane, locate the WSDL link for the RevTracTest web service, and choose Copy link address from the context menu.

The copied WSDL URL may be pasted into Rev-Trac’s Impact analysis URL field.
