Monitor PHD Collection
This workflow checks for RFC Destinations that perform scheduled collections of performance history data. It generates an HTML report which shows the number of rows of Application Statistics collected per month for each of these RFC Destinations. If any RFC Destination has no performance history data for the previous month, an advisory email is sent to the specified email address.
If LiveCompare is resource-group controlled, only the RFC Destinations in the user’s current Resource Group are analyzed.
Configure LiveCompare to send emails
Before you begin, you will need to make sure that LiveCompare is configured to send emails. See the Guided Configuration - Email help topic for details.
Prepare the workflow
To prepare the Monitor PHD Collection workflow, drag its workflow template from the Templates > Tools folder into your own workspace. Edit the Email to String List parameter to specify the addresses to which an email will be sent if any RFC Destination has no performance history data for the previous month. Each email address should be a separate entry in the String List.
Run the workflow
This workflow should be scheduled to run each month after the last scheduled date for the collection of performance history data. When the workflow execution has completed, select the Report URL dataset and choose View Details from the context menu to view the generated report. The email that the workflow sends if there is missing performance history data also includes a link to this report.
