Email License Status
The Email License Status workflow checks the number of days for which the current LiveCompare license is valid. It sends an email to one or more recipients reporting the number of days remaining for the license, if this value is equal to or falls below a specified threshold. The workflow should be scheduled to run on a regular basis, and is useful in cases where users mostly use the apps user interface.
Prerequisites
LiveCompare should be configured to send emails. See the Guided Configuration - Email help topic for details.
Prepare the workflow
To prepare the Email License Status workflow, drag its workflow template from the Templates > Tools folder into your own workspace, then modify the workflow as follows:
To specify the minimum number of license days left before notification emails are set, select the Days Left Threshold parameter and enter an integer value in its String property.
To specify the users that will receive notification emails:
-
Select the To parameter and choose Edit String List from its context menu to display the String List Editor dialog.
-
Add one or more email addresses; each email address should be stored in a separate row.
-
                                                        Click Save.
To specify the sender of the email, select the From parameter and enter an email address in its String Property.
Save the workflow using the ‘Save’ button.
Schedule the workflow
The workflow should be scheduled to run on a regular basis during the time when you would like notification emails to be sent. For example, if the workflow is scheduled to run weekly, users will receive a weekly email if the number of days of LiveCompare license remaining is less than or equal to the Days Left Threshold value.
Workflow results
The notification email has the following format:
Subject: LiveCompare License Alert
The LiveCompare license is due to expire in <= <Days Left Threshold> days.
Details:
Days left: <Days Left>
Expiration date: YYYY-MM-DD
