Add New Custom Object Naming Patterns

This workflow updates the Custom Object Naming Patterns External Data Source delivered with LiveCompare so that it includes patterns to identify objects with names beginning with SAPLY, SAPLZ, SAPMY or SAPMZ as custom objects. These object types allow the Smart Impact app, Smart Impact Analysis workflow and Object Change Impact Analysis workflow to identify custom DYNP objects. Existing objects in the External Data Source are not affected.

This workflow should be run once only for customers who have upgraded their server to LiveCompare 3.2 or a later release. If you are installing LiveCompare for the first time or upgrading from a release later than 3.2, you shouldn't run this workflow. The installed Custom Object Naming Patterns External Data Source will already include the new patterns.

Prepare the workflow

To prepare the Add New Custom Object Naming Patterns workflow, drag its workflow template from the Templates > Tools folder into your own workspace. The workflow doesn't need to be customized.

Run the workflow

To run the Add New Custom Object Naming Patterns workflow, click the toolbar button, choose Run Now from the diagram’s context menu, or select F5. The currently running workflow action is marked with an animated display. When the workflow execution has completed, the Custom Object Naming Patterns External Data Source will have been updated with the new patterns.
