Pipeline Status

The Pipeline Status screen displays details for a Pipeline with errors or warnings selected in the Service Status screen. The selected Pipeline’s RFC Destinations and Test Repositories are shown in a tabbed display.

RFC Destinations

The RFC Destinations tab displays a table showing details for the selected Pipeline’s RFC Destinations. The tab is marked with an icon indicating its overall status.

Icon Description
Pipeline status OK icon. The RFC Destinations in the selected Pipeline are operational and ready to use.
Pipeline staus warning icon. At least one of the RFC Destinations in the selected Pipeline may require attention, but none of the RFC Destinations have an error status.
Pipeline status error icon. At least one of the RFC Destinations in the selected Pipeline is not operational, and at least one of its items requires attention.

The RFC Destinations table has the following columns.

Column Description
Status An icon indicating the RFC Destination’s overall status.
Name The name of the RFC Destination
Role The Role of the RFC Destination in the selected Pipeline. One of Analysis, Comparison, Usage or SolutionManager.
PNG

An icon indicating the speed of a ping test from the LiveCompare server to the RFC Destination’s application server.

OLC An icon indicating whether an object links cache database is available for the RFC Destination.
RED

An icon indicating the speed of an SAP table read operation for the RFC Destination.

SCN An icon indicating the number of ABAP statements read per second for the RFC Destination.
PHD An icon indicating whether performance history data (PHD) is available for the RFC Destination.
DUA An icon indicating whether daily usage audit (DUA) data is available for the RFC Destination.
IMG An icon indicating whether Implementation Management Guide (IMG) data is available for the RFC Destination.
UPL An icon indicating whether Usage and Procedure Logging (UPL) data is available for the RFC Destination.
SCM An icon indicating whether ABAP Call Monitor (SCMON) data is available for the RFC Destination.
SDD An icon indicating whether ABAP Short Dump Data (SDD) is available for the RFC Destination.

Icons in the RFC Destinations table have the following meanings.

Icon Meaning
RFC Destinations OK icon.

An item is required for impact analysis and is working successfully. This icon is displayed for speed tests (PNG, RED) where the results were less than a certain threshold, and for count tests (SCN) where the results were above a certain threshold.

The Status column for an RFC Destination is set to RFC Destinations OK icon. if all the required items for which status information is available have a status of RFC Destinations OK icon..

RFC Destination warning icon.

An item is required for impact analysis and generated a warning. This icon is used for speed tests (PNG, RED) where the results were above a certain threshold, and for count tests (SCN) where the results were below a certain threshold. Click Show Status History Details icon. next to the icon to display the warning details, or Hide Status History Details icon. to hide them.

The Status column for an RFC Destination is set to RFC Destination warning icon. if at least one of its items generated a warning, and there were no errors.

RFC Destination error icon.

An item is required for impact analysis but generated an error. Click Show Status History Details icon. next to the icon to display the error details, or Hide Status History Details icon. to hide them.

The Status column for an RFC Destination is set to RFC Destination error icon. if at least one of its items is set to RFC Destination error icon..

RFC Destinations none icon. An item is not available or not required for impact analysis. The Status column for an RFC Destination is set to RFC Destinations none icon. if no status information is available for any of its items.

The role of an RFC Destination in a Pipeline determines what the RFC Destination requires for impact analysis. For example:

  • If you use the RFC Destination as an Analysis System, it requires an object links cache database (OLC).

  • If you use the RFC Destination as a Usage System, it requires downloaded performance history data (PHD), but it doesn't require an object links cache database (OLC).

Test Repositories

The Test Repositories tab displays a table showing details for the selected Pipeline’s Test Repositories. The tab is marked with an icon indicating its overall status.

Icon Description
Pipeline status OK icon.

The Test Repositories in the selected Pipeline are operational and ready to use.

Pipeline staus warning icon. At least one of the Test Repositories in the selected Pipeline may require attention, but none of the Test Repositories have an error status.
Pipeline status error icon. At least one of the Test Repositories in the selected Pipeline is not operational, and at least one of its items requires attention. Click Show Status History Details icon. next to the icon to display the error details, or Hide Status History Details icon. to hide them.

The Test Repositories table has the following columns.

Column Description
Status An icon indicating the Test Repository’s overall status.
Name The name of the Test Repository.
Role The role of the Test Repository in the selected Pipeline. One of Search, Requirement or Execute.

Icons in the Test Repositories table have the following meanings.

Icon Meaning
RFC Destinations OK icon. The Test Repository is operational and ready to use.
RFC Destination error icon. The Test Repository generated an error. Click Show Status History Details icon. next to the icon to display the error details, or Hide Status History Details icon. to hide them.
RFC Destination warning icon. The Test Repository generated at least one warning, and no errors. Click Show Status History Details icon. next to the icon to display the warning details, or Hide Status History Details icon. to hide them.
