Key facts
LiveCompare is installed on a server with some components installed on the SAP systems that will be analyzed. Users access LiveCompare via a web browser running on their desktop or mobile device. LiveCompare may be installed on physical or virtual servers.
A typical LiveCompare configuration might use the following hardware and software components:
Server
- Quad Core CPU (Xeon or i7 Based Intel Processor), 64-bit. AMD: Ryzen 7, 9 or EPYC.
- 32GB RAM, 1TB (1000GB) free disk space.
- Windows Server 2025 (64-bit).
- Microsoft Internet Information Server.
- Chrome (64-bit).
- 
                                                        NetWeaver RFC SDK 7.50 latest patch for Windows on X64 64BIT. 
Clients
- Dual Core CPU (i5 or i7 Based Intel Processor). 8GB RAM.
- Windows 10 Professional
- Chrome (64-bit)
SAP systems
- SAP releases 700 and newer, RFC enabled.

Skills required
The skills required for a LiveCompare installation are as follows:
Windows Systems Administrator
- 
                                                        Installs LiveCompare on the physical or virtual server machine. 
- 
                                                        Confirms that the client machines can access LiveCompare from a web browser. 
SAP Basis Administrator
- 
                                                        Installs the LiveCompare SAP components on each of the systems to be compared or analyzed. 
- 
                                                        Creates the SAP user accounts required by LiveCompare on each of the systems. 
- 
                                                        Provides SAP connection details (these are stored securely by LiveCompare).
