Delete RFC Destinations

If you have LiveCompare Administrator permissions, an RFC Destination or RFC Destinations Folder can be deleted as follows. LiveCompare Editors may also delete RFC Destinations and RFC Destinations Folders if this has been permitted by your installation.

  1. Select an RFC Destination or RFC Destinations Folder from the Administration > RFC Destinations folder in the LiveCompare hierarchy.
  2. If performance history data has been retrieved for the RFC Destination, the data may be deleted by selecting the RFC Destination’s PHD tab and clicking Delete Cache. If an RFC Destination’s performance history data is not deleted, it will be available if another RFC Destination is created with the same name.
  3. Select the RFC Destination or RFC Destinations Folder in the LiveCompare hierarchy and choose Delete from the context menu. If an RFC Destinations Folder is deleted, LiveCompare displays a confirmation dialog.

Deleting an RFC Destination removes its associated object links cache database.

If an RFC Destinations Folder is deleted, all the RFC Destinations and Folders underneath it are also deleted. If an RFC Destination uses an External Data Source in its PHD tab, the External Data Source is not deleted.

Note that when an RFC Destination is deleted, it is removed from all Resource Groups of which it is a member.
