Server requirements

There are two ways to configure the LiveCompare server:

  • Standard configuration (recommended)

  • Custom configuration

Standard hardware configuration

The standard configuration features the latest Microsoft Windows Server operating system and has been designed based on years of customer experience. It includes plenty of room to grow LiveCompare usage. Tricentis recommends this configuration.

Custom hardware configuration

The custom configuration is designed for installations that require greater control over system resources such as operating system, disk space and RAM.

Base operating system (4GB).
Each concurrent app or workflow (2GB).
Drive Space

Base operating system (20GB).
Each concurrent app or workflow (100MB).
Each report (5MB - 100MB).
Each LUX (10GB).
Each Object Links Cache (20GB).
Each External Data Source (variable).
Operating System

Windows 2022 Server (64-bit)
Windows 2019 Server (64-bit)

Software

The following software components are required on the LiveCompare server machine:

  • Microsoft Internet Information Server

  • Web Browser

  • SAP NetWeaver RFC SDK 7.5.0 Patch 13 or above. See here for details.

  • Microsoft Access Database Engine

Optionally, Graphviz may be installed on the LiveCompare server machine to activate additional features.
