Upload and view record attachments
You can add attachments to qTest records and access them from the Vera web portal. This works for both Test Cases and Test Runs.
The qTest Vera integration only supports ASCII characters in file names. Non-ASCII characters, such as accented letters, characters from non-Latin alphabets, emojis, or symbols aren't supported.
Upload and view attachments for Test Cases
To upload and view attachments for qTest Test Cases, follow these steps:
- Create a qTest Test Case.
- Edit fields as needed and add attachments in the Attachments section.
- Route the record for approval and refresh the page.
- Select the Approval Task link to open the Details page in the Vera web portal.
- Sign in to the Vera web portal. All attachments appear in the Attachments section.
- Select any attachment to open the attachment preview window.
- To move between attachments, select an item on the bottom carousel or use the left and right arrows. File types that aren't images, such as .doc, .pdf, .csv, and .xls prompt you to download the file.
- To close the preview window, select the X in the top right corner.

To upload and view attachments for qTest Test Runs, follow these steps:
- Create a qTest Test Run.
- Run the Test Run and add attachments at step level or execution level.
- Route the record for approval and refresh the page.
- Select the Approval Task link to open the Details page in the Vera web portal.
- Sign in to the Vera web portal. All attachments appear in the Attachments section.
- Select any attachment to open the attachment preview window.
- To move between attachments, select an item on the bottom carousel or use the left and right arrows. File types that aren't images, such as .doc, .pdf, .csv, and .xls prompt you to download the file.
- To close the preview window, select the X in the top right corner.
