What's new in 2025.1
We're excited to introduce Tricentis Vera 2025.1.
This topic gives you an overview of our 2025.1 key features. For a detailed list of all features, resolved issues, and known issues, please check out the technical release notes.
Improved access controls
Vera 2025.1 introduces stricter handling of the System Service Account role to enhance security and maintain system integrity:
-
It is now intended only for system integrations, such as the Vera Jira App configuration.
-
Users with this role can no longer sign in to Vera through the user interface.
-
If a System Service Account user attempts to sign in, Vera displays a message stating this role is for system integration use only.
Site administrators should review user accounts and reassign roles as needed before upgrading to Vera 2025.1.
Faster approval queue and record search
Approval Queue and Record search filtering are now significantly faster. We've optimized initial load times and subsequent filter operations, which improves performance for all users.
Better record details view
We've updated the Record Details view with the latest Tricentis UI components and a streamlined layout:
-
Blank fields display as --.
-
Fields adapt to the browser width, showing up to three columns per row.
-
Step and execution columns align for better readability.
Modern print view
The Print View now offers incremental loading support, which improves performance for large records. Vera also shows a loading notification while data loads in the background.
Pin your navigation bar
You can now pin the left-hand navigation bar. When pinned, the main panel shifts to prevent content from being covered.
Domain management update
We've enhanced Domain Management to make it easier to manage projects and domains:
-
Filter domains by qTest Project ID or Jira Project Key.
-
Reassign a project to another domain using the Move Project action. This updates all related records and may take a few minutes.
-
Prevent domain deletion when it contains projects.
-
Prevent project deletion when it contains records.
-
Update all related records using the Rename Domain action. This may take time depending on the number of records.
User management update
We've refactored User Management, using a datagrid for more flexibility. For example:
-
Filter, show or hide, and reorder columns.
-
Preserve filters and visibility settings between sessions.
-
Replace the Login Info column with the Last Successful Login column, or Consecutive Failed Login column for local accounts.
-
Filter for locked local accounts.
Site administration audit history expansion
We've expanded Vera's audit tracking to include changes to password and approval policies. Here's a list of auditable Site Administration entities and actions:
| Entity | Action |
|---|---|
| Approval policy |
|
| Domain |
|
| Password Policy | Update password policy |
| Password Policy Settings | Replace settings |
| Policy Set | Add policy set |
| Project | Move project |
| Records Management Policy |

Verification and domain microservices
As part of the ongoing migration toward microservices, two major components have been separated from the Vera Server container:
-
Verification service: The verification engine now runs as an independent microservice. This change improves performance during Signature Verification.
-
Domain service: Domain management now runs as a dedicated microservice for faster domain-level operations.
