What's New in 2024.3
We're excited to introduce Tricentis Vera 2024.3!
This topic gives you an overview of our 2024.3 key features. For a detailed list of all features, resolved issues, and known issues, please check out the Technical Release Notes.
Tosca Integration improvements
Vera now offers new configuration settings that improve the performance of the qTest-Tosca-Vera integration. Vera Cloud customers can request these options, while self-hosted Vera customers can update these settings in their environments.
When you enable these settings, you'll notice the following improvements to the Tosca Integration:
-
The Tosca Test Case Details section in Vera displays a single entry for each TestCase, along with an attachment.
Example: Tosca TestCase with TestCase overview attachment
The attached PDF will include all the details like TestCase steps, values, and sub-values.
-
The Tosca ExecutionLists Details section in Vera also displays a single entry for each ExecutionList, along with an attachment.
Example: Tosca ExecutionList with Dokusnapper attachment
Configure Jira records to prevent author approval
Previously, Vera allowed you to configure approval routes that prevented users from approving their own qTest records. In this release, we've extended this functionality to Jira records.
Now, you can set up Vera approval routes for Jira Record Types to prevent the author from approving their own records. You can define the author using the Jira User Picker field or as the route owner, which is the user who routed the record for approval.
Note: To use this feature, Jira Cloud users need to share their email address with their organization.
Vera tables
To make your experience more flexible, we've updated some tables with usability and customization improvements:
-
Enhanced filtering capabilities
-
Column reordering
-
Option to show or hide columns
-
Cached user settings to remember table preferences across sessions
These updates apply to the following tables:
-
Approval Queue
-
Records
-
User Profile: Domains & Roles (User Management)
-
Domain: Role Management (Domain Management)
Role Management
We've enhanced the Role Management feature in both Domain Management and User Management to help you manage roles and users more efficiently:
-
Domain Management: The Role Management feature now includes filtering options for available users and role members, along with the ability to add or remove one or more users from a role. This update improves the user interface, making it easier to manage roles within domains.
-
User Management: The Domains & Roles table now lets you select or deselect one or more roles from a list, streamlining the process of managing user profiles and their associated roles.
Vera Connections
We've added a new layer of security and customization for your Vera Connections. As an administrator, you now can configure connections with custom headers and certificates.
-
Custom Headers: Add one or more custom headers to any Vera connection. These headers will be part of all communication from Vera based on the configuration of the connection.
-
Certificates for Connections: Include a PFX-formatted certificate and password in your Vera connections. This allows for a secure communication with on-premises API gateways and other systems.
