Get API authorization

Tricentis Test Management for Jira lets you manage your tests in the graphical user interface or through the API.

For example, you can use the API to speed up your testing process. Set up the API to use your own application framework to automatically create test runs by searching for an existing test case, and then creating and attaching new test runs.

Prerequisites

You need to have your API key.

Authorize the API

To set up authorization for your requests, follow these steps:

1. Access the Swagger at https://api.ttm4j.tricentis.com/.

2. In the Swagger UI, select Authorize.

3. In the Available authorizations window, paste your API key into the Value field.

4. Select Authorize to confirm. Now, you can use any endpoint you want.

You can also use the API key in the Authorization header for other programs, such as Postman, if you want to implement API calls outside of Swagger.
