Use standard test steps

Standard test steps are only available in the old version of Tosca Cloud.

Tosca Cloud automatically adds a set of so-called "standard test steps" to every workspace. These are pre-built test steps for specific tasks that help you speed up your test creation process. For example, Browser: Open URL is designed to open a URL in a browser window. All you need to do is define which URL to open.

You can find all standard test steps in the left pane of the test case editor, under Standard test steps and SAP standard modules. To use a standard test step in a test case, simply drop it onto the test case and fill out the values.

For a complete list of what's available, check out Standard test steps.

If you're in the Cloud Scanner split-screen view, the test case editor looks slightly different, and standard test steps are not available. To add them, you need to leave the split-screen view.

Rename standard test steps

You can always rename standard test steps in your test case, by using the pencil icon. This only changes the name in the test case. It doesn't change the default name of the standard test step as it appears in the left pane.
