Tosca can display hints at the bottom of the screen that will help you optimize workspace performance. In the Hints section of the Options dialog, you can adapt various optimization settings.

Maximum amount of time in seconds a perspective may need to refresh |
Define the maximum time for a perspective to refresh. You have to specify the time in seconds. After the specified refresh time has elapsed, a hint provides possible options for optimizing perspectives. |

If you enable this option and the specified refresh time for perspectives has elapsed, Tosca displays a hint to provide tips for optimizing perspectives. |
Hints > Old Workspace Schema

Enable Hint "Old Workspace Schema |
If you enable this option, Tosca displays a hint to inform you if you are using an old workspace schema of your workspace. The hint provides instructions on how to update the workspace schema. |
Hints > Compact Workspace

Enable Hint "Compact Workspace" |
If you enable this option, Tosca displays a hint for the option Compact Workspace. The hint appears based on the time interval you set, and every 24 hours by default. |

Time in hours in which to recheck to see if Workspace needs compacting |
Define the time interval for the Compact Workspace hint to appear. Specify the time in hours. |
