Work with AI

Tosca offers different ways to bring AI into your testing workflows. Choose the approach that works best for you:

  • AI Chat, where you use AI services that Tosca provides.

  • Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, where you use your own AI assistant.

AI Chat

AI Chat is Tricentis's own AI assistant. There's no need to set up or connect an external AI assistant.

Use AI Chat to create test cases for generic web, SAP Fiori, SAP GUI, and Salesforce applications.

This is your basic AI Chat workflow:

  1. Set up AI Chat.

  2. Create test cases with AI Chat.

We added this functionality in a patch. To use AI Chat, you need to install patch 3 or later.

AI Chat replaces Tosca Agentic Test Automation. If you don't install patch 3, you continue to use Tosca Agentic Test Automation.

MCP integration

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that connects AI assistants to external systems. With the Tosca MCP Server, AI assistants can access your Tosca workspace and help you create, organize, update, use, and run test assets.

This is your basic MCP workflow:

  1. Learn more about the MCP integration. For example, components, supported assistants, and additional help resources.

  2. Connect to the Tosca MCP Server.

  3. Use the Tosca MCP Server.

We added this functionality in a patch. To use Model Context Protocol (MCP) with Tosca, you need to install patch 1 or later.
