Define a Data Integrity connection

Define Data Integrity connection in the Connection Manager if you intend to use this connection for the following tests:

To define your connection, follow the steps below:

  1. Create a new connection and specify the DI connection type as described in "Create a new connection".

  2. Enter the required connection information in the General section.

  3. Make sure that the Include Metadata check box is selected.

  1. The Connection Manager can fetch the required table, column, and constraint information in one of the following ways:

    • Directly from the ODBC driver

    • From SQL statements you provide

Validate this information as described in check out "Validate driver information" and check out "Validate SQL statements".

  2. Save your connection.

Test your connection

To check whether the given information lets you connect to your data source, click on Test connection.

This check does not take SQL statements into account. A connection test can be successful even if there are errors in your SQLs statements. If you want to check your SQL statements, you can validate them.
