Edit payload

You can edit and save the payload of your message in the Payload tab.

To edit the payload manually, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the message you would like to edit.

  2. Add, delete or edit information directly in the Payload tab.

If a node has child nodes in an XML or JSON message, you can expand and collapse them by clicking + and - next to the respective node.

Save payload

You can save your payload to file. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Save button in the Payload tab.

  2. In the subsequent dialog enter a file name and click Save.

Load payload

You can create a new payload by loading it from file. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Load button in the Payload tab.

  1. In the subsequent dialog, select a file and click Open.

Add files

You can create a new payload by adding a file to the payload. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Add Files icon in the API Scan Home menu.

  2. Select Payload from the dropdown menu.

  1. In the subsequent dialog, select the file you want to add and click Open.

To load a payload or add files, create a new payload. If your message already contains a payload, it will be replaced by the new payload.
