Run a Test Package from SAP Solution Manager

If you have installed Tricentis Tosca 2023.1.1 (or newer), you need to set up the SAP Solution Manager Service to use this functionality.

To run Test Configurations from SAP Solution Manager, follow these steps:

  1. In SAP Solution Manager, go to Review Tester Worklist.

  2. Select the Test Package and navigate to Automatic Test > Launch External Execution.

A notification with information such as the name of the Test Package and the process GUID appears.

When test execution is complete, SAP Solution Manager Service sends the execution log to SAP Solution Manager.

When you create and synchronize Test Configurations, you import new TestCase folders in Tricentis Tosca. When you create and synchronize Test Packages, you create new ExecutionLists in Tricentis Tosca that are automatically linked to the previously imported TestCase folders.

If you've added TestCases and TestSteps to your imported TestCase folders, click Synchronize in Tricentis Tosca to update your ExecutionList.

If you click Synchronize in SAP Solution Manager, Tricentis Tosca automatically synchronizes any changes in TestCase Folders with your ExecutionList.
