Supported emulators

The HOST Engine 3.0 automatically recognizes the type of your HOST emulator based on the specific DLL file(s) located in your system. There is no need for additional setup.

Ensure that the path to the folder which contains the emulator-specific DLL(s) is included in the Path system variable.

The HOST Engine 3.0 supports the emulators and their versions listed in the table. These emulators have been specially tested for the HOST Engine 3.0, although other versions and emulators not listed may be compatible:

Emulators not listed

The HOST Engine 3.0 uses EHLLAPI. If your emulator isn't listed in the table, but also supports EHLLAPI, it might still work with the HOST Engine 3.0. Make sure that you activate EHLLAPI support in the emulator if needed, and install all necessary additional components.

Encrypted sessions

The HOST Engine 3.0 supports encrypted mainframe sessions based on the emulators individual limitations on encryption. For example, the HOST Engine 3.0 supports the Rocket Terminal Emulator only without encryption, due to its own limitation.
