  3. Install Tosca.

  5. If you want to use on-premises licensing, install the Tricentis License Server (opens in new tab).

  6. If you want to use Tosca OSV, install Tosca OSV.

Set up Tricentis Tosca for users

To set up Tricentis Tosca for users, follow the steps below:

  1. Administer your licenses.

Tricentis Tosca components are licensed in editions. Users need the respective licenses on their machines.

  2. Create the work environment for users. This work environment is a so-called workspace, where testers create, design, and run tests. Tosca offers different types of workspaces:

    • Single-user workspaces for environments where only one person needs access to data.

    • Multi-user workspaces for environments where several people need access to the same data. In this case, you have several workspaces on several machines; one workspace per machine. All workspaces are connected to one common repository.

Multi-user workspaces simplify your data administration since you save all project data to one central location. A check in / check out mechanism ensures that users don't interfere with each others work.
