Which Jira Permissions Are Required to Set Up a Connection?

To set up a successful integration with Jira for Defects and Requirements, the required Jira permissions depend on whether you are connecting to Jira Cloud or Jira Server. Jira permissions are managed in Jira.

For more information about managing permissions in Jira, refer to Managing permissions on the Atlassian support website.

We recommend you use one Jira account for setting up integration with qTest. You can use a service account to prevent integration from being tied to an individual user.

Activating Jira Service Desk can affect allocated Jira permissions.
