Subscribe to Data Export
Before you can download your data through the qTest Data Export API, you need to sign up and wait for data onboarding. After you're granted access, you can obtain your API access key. That's the access key you need to send with each call to the API, so you can download your raw data.
Get started with Data Export
To request access to the Data Export feature, reach out to your CSM or contact support (link opens in a new tab). This gets the process started, but you'll receive a few things along the way.
As part of the onboarding process, we upload your historical data to the Tricentis repository. The amount of time this takes can vary depending on the amount of data you have in qTest. There's nothing to do on your end during the upload, but we recommend that you use this time to set up your teams and create your database.
We'll also provide you with an API access key. Everybody who wants access to the Data Export API needs the API access key. This is a different key from the qTest bearer token, which you'll also need to access the general qTest API platform. All of your users will send the same access key with each API call they make, so carefully choose who you give the key to.
When your data is ready, you have 90 days to download it from the API before it expires. Each uploaded dataset is available for 90 days.
What's next
You have your API access key. Now, access your data with the Data Export API, so you can use it to understand and refine your testing processes.
