Manage workspace subscription
As an administrator, you can control how each workspace consumes license resources. This helps you allocate Virtual Users (VUs) and Virtual User Hours (VUH) across teams and projects. It also allows a fair resource distribution and over-consumption prevention.
For effective resource management, assign each team or project to a dedicated workspace. If two teams share the same workspace, they share the same resource quotas.
Limit Virtual Users (VU) usage
You can set a maximum number of Virtual Users (VU) for each workspace. This controls how many Web VUs and SAP VUs are available for tests running in the workspace.
When enabled, tests in the workspace must respect two limits:
-
The number of VUs still available in the account.
-
The number of VUs still available in the workspace.
To configure VU limits for a workspace, follow these steps:
-
Go to Settings > Workspaces.
-
Select the workspace you want to configure.
-
Go to the Subscription tab.
-
Under Resource allocation, enable Limit VUs usage.
-
Set the maximum values for the workspace:
-
Web VUs: Maximum Web virtual users the workspace can use.
-
SAP VUs: Maximum SAP virtual users the workspace can use.
-
-
Select Save.
VU limits also apply when tests are started from NeoLoad GUI.
Limit Virtual User Hour usage
You can set a maximum number of Virtual User Hours (VUH) a workspace can consume. This controls how many VUH are available for tests running in the workspace.
When enabled, tests in the workspace must respect two limits:
-
The number of VUH still available in the account.
-
The number of VUH still available in the workspace.
To configure VUH limits for a workspace, follow these steps:
-
Go to Settings > Workspaces.
-
Select the workspace you want to configure.
-
Go to the Subscription tab.
-
Under Resource allocation, enable Limit VUH usage.
-
In the VUH field, enter the maximum number of virtual user hours you want the workspace to consume. After tests run, this field displays the remaining VUH available in the workspace.
-
Select Save.
VUH limits also apply when tests are started from NeoLoad GUI.
