Create scenarios

Scenarios define how your load test runs, including load profiles, test duration, and the number of virtual users. A scenario combines populations with timing and load configurations to simulate real-world usage patterns.

This guide shows you how to create and configure scenarios.

Create a scenario

To create a scenario, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Scenarios tab in the Runtime section.

  2. Create a new scenario by selecting Add Scenario.

  3. Select the population to use in this scenario.

  4. Define the load profile by configuring:

    • Test duration.

    • Number of virtual users.

    • Ramp-up pattern.

Configure scenario settings

Configure these settings for your scenario:

  • Duration mode - Choose between time-based duration or iteration-based duration.

  • Load variation policy - Define how load increases or decreases during the test.

  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs) - Set performance thresholds for monitoring during the test.

What's next

After creating scenarios, run the test to execute your performance test and monitor results in real time.
