Protect your NeoLoad project

You can protect Neoload projects with a password. This prevents unauthorized access and keeps confidential information safe, such as credentials to access the application under test.

Caution: Users can only open password-protected projects in NeoLoad versions that support project encryption (2024.2 or newer).

Secure your project with a password

When you create a new project, you define the password in the project creation dialogue.

To add password protection to an existing project, or to change the password, follow these steps:

1. Open your project in NeoLoad.

2. Select File > Save as, then enter a password into the Password protection dialog.

Note: Users can choose to open a password-protected project without providing a password. In this case, NeoLoad permanently deletes confidential information while preserving non-confidential information in your project.
