Compare Used Objects
This workflow compares used objects obtained from performance history data on a specified SAP system with corresponding objects on a second system. The comparison results are used to generate an HTML report.
Create RFC Destinations
Before you begin, you will need to create RFC Destinations for the system from which to retrieve performance history data, and for the second SAP system to compare.
In the LiveCompare hierarchy, select the RFC Destination in the LiveCompare hierarchy, click the PHD tab and set a schedule for the retrieval of performance history data. You can also retrieve performance history data for an RFC Destination using the Collect Performance History Data action. See the Retrieve performance history data topic for details.
Prepare the workflow
To prepare the Compare Used Objects workflow, drag its workflow template from the Templates folder into your own workspace, and modify the workflow as follows:
To specify the system from which to retrieve used objects to compare:
-
Select the System 1 parameter and choose ‘Edit RFC Destination’ from its context menu to display the RFC Destination dialog.
-
Select the RFC Destination for which performance history data has been retrieved, then click ‘Save’.
Repeat the above steps to link the System 2 parameter to the RFC Destination for the second system to compare.
Save the workflow using the ‘Save’ toolbar button.
Run the workflow
To run the Compare Used Objects workflow, click the 'Run' toolbar button, choose ‘Run Now’ from the diagram’s context menu, or press F5. The currently running workflow action is marked with an animated display. When the workflow execution has completed, select the Report URL dataset and choose ‘View Details’ from the context menu to access the generated report.
